It's that time of year again, who's excited??? ME!!! I have been looking forward to writing this post and show you my Christmassy room.
First of all, sorry for the lack of posts, college work has just been piling up and my blog has been on the back burner. However, I am all caught up, so I thought with the small gap with no assessments to write, I would get back into it. What a better way to start, than with a Christmas room tour, I have actually been asked by a few friends when I was going to post this, so this is for you ;)

I don't want to bore you with all the writing so enjoy all the pretty pictures.  A lot of the items I have reused from the last few years, just re-worked them around my room. It was harder than it looks to decorate with the same items, but I love the finished look.
Enjoy all the festivities!!!

My last 3 Christmas Room Tour :

 Christmas 2015                                    Christmas 2016                                       Christmas 2017

Enjoy all the festivities!!!
The most important part of my room is my dresser, it is the part I see the most, and the place where I can be the most creative. The only thing different is the extending animal collection, the polar bears are from Matalan and the penguins and squirrels are both from Tesco, they have some very cute decorations at the moment.
Now that I took my polaroids down that wall looks so simple and fresh so I can play with it more. I always have to have my countdown, which so far I have changed every day.
My tree hasn't changed, however, I love it and I think it works perfectly. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

The rest of my room has little bits and bobs dotted around. I love added tinsel to everything and it just automatically makes the room christmassy.  I am obsessed with my The Grinch duvet cover, and I  now have The Grinch pjs, so I now blend into my covers. My newest addition is some Reindeers duvet covers from Primark, which are so cute.
I rejigged my wall prints and left the A5 prints up,  so it meant that I could hang up my 'Merry and Bright' sign up. which adds a simple touch.

I absolutely adore my bedroom and take great joy in changing it for each season, Christmas being my favourite. My family put our full house decorations up yesterday so things are just getting beyond Christmassy and I am getting beyond excited.
Hope you are having a great Sunday, all I am looking forward to is the I'm a Celebrity final.

I love my hair, I love doing styles to it, however, the one thing I put off is getting my haircut. I don't know why it is just something I generally forgot to do. However, when the loving, Rebekah contacted me over at Sesh Hairdressing wondering if I would like to review their Salon, I jumped at the chance. She was very accommodating as to what dates I could do, the communication was amazing, something that I love whilst working with a brand.

Sesh Hairdressing is based right by the shore in Leith which was perfect as one of my friends lives there, it is such a perfect spot. The inside was just as perfect as the spot, it was my idea of interior heaven, white and black everything, plus chandeliers. It looked fresh and clean, and just overall stunning.

When I arrived I filled in a survey for new customers,  just to get to know me a bit, nothing too personal (lol). One of the questions was 'What do I dislike about hairdressers?'. I answered, having a salon that was too small and cramped.
This salon was anything but cramped, after talking to my stylist Rebecca, she informed me that they just got a re-fit in January which opened a whole section for the sinks and an area for another station.  Which gave them more room, and made it feel roomier.

Like I said my stylist was Rebecca, we first had the conversation of what I wanted, I didn't want a massive chop but my hair at the bottom was pretty dry after dying it blonde over the years. There were many treatments that were on offer, however, Rebecca whittled it down to 3. Three different levels of conditioning treatments, I went with the middle treatment as like I said it was only the bottom half that needed the work.

I got my hair washed and then Rebecca applied the conditioning mask,  she then put me under the heater to amplify the treatment. (How funny do I look, LOL)

Whilst under the heater Rebecca sat down with me and did an electronic survey with System Professional, it gave me an Energy Code which basically tells me what kind of products that worked well in my hair. It was really useful.

After the treatment had set, Rebecca added a volumising product to give my hair a boost. My hair may be thick but it is very flat and holds no volume.
I then got my hair cut, like I said, I wasn't looking for a drastic change, however, I asked for a blunt cut with a feathered front. Rebecca took off a couple of inches, taking off the dead ends and most of the blonde.

My hair was then blow dried and because I was going out for Rowan's birthday Rebecca added some curls into my hair. This was my favourite part, I was in bliss, drying my hair is sooo much effort and don't get more started on curling it. It was just so relaxing, and to top it all off the end result was stunning.

My hair looked so much fresher, healthier and felt incredible, there is still a little bit of blonde so it really gives it a proper balayage look.  I loved it!!!!!

I was extremely impressed by this salon like I mentioned it was super fresh and clean, and the service was outstanding. They made sure not only I was okay, but my friend Rowan, giving her multiple coffees, she was in heaven.

What was a bonus, is that my stylist Rebecca's boyfriend grow up in the same area as us so the conversation was flowing and it felt like we were having a catch-up. She always made sure I knew what was going on, and made an incredible job, very impressed.
I was also given free samples of the products, which I am really excited to try myself, however, I don't think it will be up to Rebecca's level.

I would 100% recommend and I will definitely be going back.
Thank you to the team at Sesh Hairdressing for my incredible experience, make sure to follow them on their social media.

 Love Emma

First of all, happy first day of Autumn!!! It is just the best time of the year!!!
The hype around Mario Badescu has been so high since last year, so at the start of the year,  I purchased the 50th Aniversary edition set. I thought it would be perfect as it had a variety of the most popular items. The set was £32 but with student discount, it was around £28 (gotta love student discount).
I have used it for a couple of months so I thought it would be a perfect time to share my review and give you a good old review.

Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rose Water

If you read my 'What a got for Christmas' then you would have seen that I actually got a full sized bottle of this Facial Spray. I use it every morning and every night, before makeup, after makeup and honestly whenever I feel I need a little refresh. It has become one of my go-to products!
In the set, however, is a smaller sized bottle,  I actually took to camp with me, it got super hot so spraying myself with these really did the trick over cooling me down.  Overall, I love love love this, it is so refreshing and gives a natural glow!

Enzyme Cleansing Gel

I had heard a lot of mixed reviews about this, so I was excited to give a try. I am a complete lover of the Soap and Glory's Peaches and Clean (a throwback to my first ever post) so always apprehensive about trying a new cleanser. I have a combination skin so it is perfect, it doesn't dry my skin out nor does make it oily.
In terms of using it to take off makeup, I am not that big of a fan, it's quite thin in consistency so I just don't think it does the best job.  I love it to use as a second cleanse or when I need to freshen up in the morning, it does leave my face feeling super clean.

Silver Powder

This was something I was most excited about, again I had heard some mix reviews. Anything that helps get rid of blackheads is a perfect product for me. However, I'm not sure if it was just me but it just never worked for me at all. The first view times I just couldn't work out how to apply it. After watching many videos, doing it right, nothing happened. It didn't remove my blackheads, it just made a mess all over my floor.

Flower and Tonic Mask

I am all over facemasks, I love love love them, facemasks is just the best to give yourself a great pamper session. This one is no exceptions, I have a lot of redness on my face and blemishes so this is great to help tackle those areas. The facemask is so refreshing and leaves my skin so smooth and clean. I love how thick the consistency is so a little does really go a long way.
It definitely has become a go-to facemask when I need a pick me up. I have nearly run out, so I am sure to ask for it for my Christmas!
(As I type this I am wearing it now lol)

Drying Lotion

I am sure you have all heard about this, the famous drying lotion. I have heard soo many people talk about how amazing this is, so I was very intrigued to see how it worked.
When I first picked up this product I instantly shook it, big mistake. So number one, don't shake it, the clear and the pink are meant to be separate.
Number two, a cotton bud is the best way to apply, not a cotton pad aha
I actually really like it, it works amazingly with massive breakouts that look like mountains, you know the ones. It dries them out, and I have found that it leaves less of a scar than anything that I have used.
The only downside is the smell, it has a very chemical scent, very over-powering. Sometimes I am just not feeling the strong smell before bed.
I do love it, however, sudocream can do the job just as well.

Let me know if you have tried any of Mario's products?
How did you get on with the Silver Powder?
I am gonna try and get into blogging, I promise! :)
Love, Emma

I have been back home for nearly 2 weeks now and all I am thinking about is summer, so I thought there was no time like the present to share my summer highlights.
Just like last year, I spent my summer working at Camp Tanuga, it was once again an incredible summer.
I started my summer off with going tubing with the other staff members, which was a perfect way to catch up with everyone and meet the new staff. It was also the best way to start my summer.
The water theme continued throughout the summer, as one of my days off I went jet skiing with Sarah. Jet skiing was an experience,  I think I spent most of my time screaming my head off and holding on for dear life as Sarah done 10 doughnuts in a row. Her aim was to throw me off but I held on and came off once,  taking her down with me, soz ;)
Other days off I spent in my favourite place Mackinac Island,  riding around the island on a tandem bike and trying endless amount of fudge. We only crashed once (or twice), which I think was successful, the main issue was trying to coordinate the push off which we eventually nailed.
Also, a group of us hired an inflatable unicorn and lived it up in Petoskey State Park beach, which became a camp highlight for me.

Days off were so much fun, however, the real action happened at camp,  I was SOO fortunate to be given my girls back from last year both 1st and 2nd session, and when I say my girls, I mean it, they are my precious lil babies!!  I have never met a brighter fun group of 9-year-olds in my life and it was such a pleasure to be their counsellor for a 2nd year.
Whilst at camp I got to be part of a camp skit showing my great acting skills ;), and also got to celebrate the fourth of July again. One of my favourite parts was getting all dressed up for Friday night dinner, feeling somewhat human. I loved getting my girlies ready; braiding hair, painting nails and putting some eyeshadow on them. This was so satisfying seeing their pretty faces all ready for dinner.

On top of all that, I got to spend my summer with some of the best people, and share memories to last a lifetime. I met some fabulous people and I miss them all so much!!!

Following camp, I travelled with Ashton and Sarah to Indiana where we spent a lot of time on Ashton's family's boat, where I got to go tubing for the first time, this was so much fun. Sarah and I  then made our way to Florida to visit Sarah and her family. I spent a lot of money shopping but we also got to meet up with one of my campers family, it was so lovely to see her again.

Thanks for another GREAT summer, Tanuga.
Love, Emma
xoxo
