Midweek lifestyle blog...
So this blog post is going to be a slightly different, I have been Gluten Free for over two years now and I thought I would share my experience, and why I think it's not a fad diet.

WHAT IS GLUTEN?
'Gluten is a general name for the proteins found in wheat, rye, barley, and triticale. Gluten helps foods maintain their shape, acting as a glue that holds food together.'-Taken from http://celiac.org/

How I became Gluten Free...
Back to the end of 2011, I was getting really bad stomach pains, I would feel really full and I was often very bloated. I wasn't sure what it was or whether it was anything serious so I played it off and never told anyone, over the next few weeks it got worse, it was not nice feeling bloated all the time. I told my mom and eventually I went to the doctors.

Long story short I had numerous blood tests done and as well as keeping a food diary, everything came back negative which was frustrating, over time my symptoms got worse. I ended up vomiting on different occasions. I was also given different medicine, but to be honest, nothing was working.

The doctors then told me that with all my symptoms and tests results that I more than likely had IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), it made me feel better than I had a diagnosis and was the handed lots of leaflets about which food I could and could not eat.

Although I had a diagnosis it still never made me feel better, I was still getting bloated stomach and generally feeling tired all the time. It also made me lose my appetite, bloating and feeling sick really turns you off food, which leads to me losing weight....

About November 2012 my mum saw an ad on Facebook, 'Symptoms of IBS try a Gluten free diet'. We thought we could only try, that day we cut all the Gluten products out my diet and entered the supermarket to look at the free from range.

Much to my delight after a day and a half off being Gluten free I went to my bed feeling great, no bloating, no feeling sick... From then on I have been Gluten Free.

TOP TIPS

Having been Gluten free for over two years now I have picked up some tips about how to live Gluten Free....
ALWAYS CHECK THE LABEL; Even if you are positive a product is gluten free, there is no harm in checking. Very occasionally the product itself does not contain it but in fact, has been made in a factory that contains gluten.
If the packaging does not say anything and you are still unsure CHECK ONLINE, you can go to the products website or you can Check Coeliac Uk which is very helpful.
FORUMS; I think forums are very useful and can put your mind at rest. Whether you have just started a Gluten Free lifestyle or years into it, talking about it will always help. Sharing experiences with others in the same boat can be very informative.

IS IT HEALTHY?

As I have said I have been on a gluten-free lifestyle for such a long time, I get asked a lot of questions about what I can eat and what I can't. But the main comment people say is 'You must be so healthy', I have strong opinions on why I feel that a gluten free diet can be just as unhealthy as a 'normal' diet.
Firstly for a Gluten free diet to be healthy the person must eat right, if you are Gluten free you will know that a majority of 'Free From' products in the store are cakes, sweets, and chocolate. So I feel that on that side it is not, overeating on these products would be as unhealthy as eating gluten products. You have to be able to know what is naturally Gluten free to be able to be healthy.
On the other hand, I find it healthy as you generally cannot eat anything when going out you need to be very wary about what you can and can't eat as it is a lot simpler to just say no...

DO I MISS IT?

The thing I miss the most is the simplicity, going somewhere and not having to worry whether you can eat anything, not having to make a fuss is always hard.Foods that I do miss are normal pieces of bread, normal rolls- the best GF rolls I have ever had where from a Milan restaurants. On the most hand, I don't miss it, like I have mention I have been Gluten free for over two years and I guess it is just my life now...

What is your thought on being Gluten Free? Do you want to be to post more abut being Gluten Free?

I don't know what I am more excited about, the products or being able to write this post!!! Okay, maybe the products... As you would have guessed from the title I purchased the MAC Cinderella collection.

Disney is one of my favourite things and now so is make-up so put them both together you get a winning combo... I have to say the whole collection was super pretty and if I could, I would have bought everything. But I limited myself and really got the things that I need.

The first product I bought was the Studio Eye Gloss - Lightly Taupe.

At the moment I am getting into experimenting with my eye makeup so I thought this would be perfect for my collection. I have never tried an eye gloss before so I was very intrigued. It is scary opening and realizing that it is a gloss form but it does, however, sits very nice on your eyelid.

I love how the colour is very subtle and could be used on its own as an everyday lid but also could be layered on top for a more 'going out' look. I particularly love that if caught in the right light it does give a beautiful shimmer.

The second product Cinderella Glitter - Reflects Pearl.

I was super excited about this as I have been looking for a glitter that I could use under my brow and as a highlight, I think in the rush to actually pick what I wanted from the collection I never realized that this product was not actually safe for the eye but for the face body and hair...

Aside from that, I am absolutely  in love with it, it is super sparkly and with the right base, it could, in fact, go on my eyes. I am really excited to use this product.

The last product I picked up a Cinderella Beauty Powder in Mystery Princess.

This has to my favourite out of them all and it was the one I did needed the most. I have been looking for a highlighter for a long time and this really caught my eye.

The colour is very subtle and is described as a "pink beige with silver shimmer.". Like I said I use this as a highlight, I think it gives a light shimmer to your face.  I am very happy that this is now part of my collection.

Overall. I loved the products. I also think that the packaging in gorgeous and represents Cinderella very well. I would highly recommend all these products, Big shout out to my friend Keira for ordering these for me!!

Let me know in the comments if you purchased any of MAC Cinderella Collection?

So my whole, 'I'm starting to blog more' when down the toilet! A lot of hard things have happen since then, and are still going on but I will try the best that I can to blog.

I'm going to start with reviewing the Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean deep purifying cleaner.

About a year ago I had a lot of  problems with my skin, I am not sure whether it was to do with Christmas and all the rich/unhealthy food I was overindulging on. What ever it was I had A LOT of break outs.
I did try a few different cleansers, although it never made it worse, it certainly never made it better. I then went into Boots looking for something else and seen that Soap and Glory had brought out a beauty collection, what took my attention where the OFF YOUR FACE 3-in-1 daily purifying cloths. I thought I would give it a go.  I am so glad I did, they cleared my skin up pretty well and I was really happy. They became an essential when taking my make-up off, repurchasing them several times.

At the start of this year, once again my skin was bad, not as bad as last year but it was still bad. My work schedule has increased which meant I was and I am wearing make-up most days, I felt that the wipes were just not cutting it, I felt my skin felt very groggy afterwords.

I still was on the lookout for a Cleanser but I had just not found the right one, I decided to go into boots again and check out what they had.
I automatically went to the Soap and Glory section, and I was very delighted to see that they did have a cleaners. I was also very happy that, the cleanser and the wipes both contain Peach and Go juice extract. I knew the wipes work so seeing they included the same ingredients, made me purchase it right away!

Day One.
I applied on my  face and rinsed of in the shower, I felt I had to put a tiny bit more on after cleaning and but this time I left  it on for about 5 minutes and then washed it off, my f
ace felt very clean! Very happy!!

Day Two
I bought a face cloth, applied, left on for about 10 mins and then washed of with face cloth! I felt using the face cloth really helped take it all off. Was very pleased with this!! All my make up came of and my face felt clean and smooth.

Day Three
I only had a little amount of make-up on today which made it super easy for me. I applied 1 and a half pumps to my face, and washed it off. Extremely happy.

I still use the wipes in the morning when I wake up, as part of my skincare routine and I also feel that this work well too.

Over all I am very happy with this product, very easy to apply and very good quality.
The only thing I have to say is the does not a have a distinguished smell, I was expecting it to have a strong peach smell.

I'm very excited to continue to use this product, I hope it does good things!!
I am however looking for some kind of moisturiser, I was thinking trying another S&G product?!
Any ideas comment below!

Thank you!!
Hope everyone is having a great day,
