Hey guys, so as you know I  visited New York two weeks ago, for me New York consume the month of March! I would normally do a monthly favourite post but I feel that most of the things I will talk about are the things  I bought when I was over there. I thought I would combine the two, telling you my March  favourites but also showing you what I purchased.

FASHION

If you know me,  you will know I love a good Victoria's Secret shop. Without putting them online, I purchased a lot of underwear as they are the comfiest things ever!
Surprising I didn't go all out and refrained myself from going overboard.

I did pick a few items, first one (top left)  is this 'Vitamin Sea' tank top. I actually saw this Anna Saccone-Joly snapchat and fell in love. I absolutely love the colour and think the saying is too cute.

Next up, (top right) is a simple PINK long sleeved white top. I have been looking, in general,  for a top like this, it has 'PINK' all the way down the back which I think is so cute. It is  perfect for lazy days or a casual outfit.
(Bottom Left) I finally got my hands on VS pjs. I've looking for a set like these for a while, I just love the idea of having VS pjs. There was a lot of summer sets but I wanted a long set. I got my hands on this gorgeous white and pink set. They are quite thin but surprisingly they are still warm. I don't know why but  I feel like someone from Gossip Girl whilst wearing them, but I have fallen in love.

(Bottom Right) Last thing in the picture is a VS gorgeous floral Sarong, the print is just gorgeous and it is really soft, I haven't had any use of it just now but I do love the spring/summer print!

Last VS items is a PINK Bralet . It is very similar to my Calvin Klein Bralet I received at Christmas, but as I wear that a lot I thought I would buy something similar. It is very comfy to chill in and I adore the colour.

Last fashion items I bought where from Zara. I have never been in a busier shop than the Zara we were in Soho. We waited in the changing room queue for just under hour, yes the changing room queue! It was insane, and we have no idea why we did it. I ended up picking up two pair of leggings, a strip baggy dress, the 'Girl Gang tee' and this 'Are you Gluten Free' cropped tee. I didn't even try this on as I seen it after but as you know I am Gluten free so it was must!

MAKE-UP

I didn't go as crazy on make-up as I thought, I suppose I got a lot at Christmas and didn't really need anything else.  I did however pick a few bits from Sephora.
I've been needing to find a primer, I have been using a mini sample of Mac' Prep and Prime but it is starting to run out.

I decided I wanted to try something other than Mac so I had a browse in Sephora, they have a section on the end of stands that have 'The Best...' so when I seen this 'HourGlass Veil Primer' I thought I would give it a bash. I really rate Hourglass products, I love how it feels on my skin and I have seen a difference in my make-up!

Ive heard a lot of great things about Nars eyeshadows, so I took the chance to have a browse. I only picked up one, but it is gorgeous.
I picked up 'Silk Road' it has a pretty gold and a brown copper colour. Coming into the summer I think it will be perfect for a golden look!

Then I purchased my HOLY GRAIL foundation, 'Nars Sheer Glow' in the shade Mont Blanc. I've talked about this foundation many times so all I'll say is that I still love it.

The last make-up product was kind of a splurge, Steph and Amy went on a bike ride so I was left in a shopping centre for an hour, so I blame them ;) If you know I am a massive Jennifer Lawrence fan and have always wanted one her Dior lip products but didn't really want to spend that much money. But after getting the lip maximiser and lip glow from Dior I fell in love! I decided to treat myself and pick up 'Dior After Party'. I love how it is a shimmer shade, and I love the colour. Although I haven't tried it yet I have heard it is amazing.

 MISCELLANEOUS

The last few  pieces I picked up would of 100% be on my favourites.
First up is this super irrelevant Mug from Francesca's. I adore this shop, it has a lot of quirky item that I love, I did a full haul here from my summer holidays last year!
I saw this mug and had to buy it! I've been using it for water as I don't want to ruin it, but I just love it!

From Sephora I then picked up Invisibobbles,  I hadn't heard or seen anything about these but they looked interesting so I had to try them. As they say they wont give you that annoying line you get when taking a bobble out and I feel it had helped with not getting tangled hair! If you see them definitely pick them up!

Crest Pro Health Toothpaste has to be the best whiting toothpaste out there. Having used their white strips for years, they have started to hurt my teeth. So when I used this at the end of last year it was the answer to my problems! I picked up another set as I was running out but I love it! It does take a bit longer to do your teeth but it is well worth it!

Last two items are a first in my monthly favourites! I never really post or talk about jewellery that much but I am super happy with these purchases.

I picked up these set of ring in H&M After I have been wearing my Tiffany Love ring I have fallen in love with wearing rings. Although I don't want to spend that must on another one, I wanted a few more. These are simple rings and are perfect to add to my outfit! I have been wearing the infinity ring and the bobble ring the most and been loving it!

Last but not least my Alex and Ani bracelet! I have heard a few things about these bracelets over the years but as I don't live in America I have never really researched them, until we were browsing the shops in Soho.  I love the idea of the bracelets and as much as I could of bought the whole shop I went with the Path of Life. It represents 'Knowledge', 'Strength' and 'Motivation' which is what I need. I have been wearing it all the time and it has helped me!

Hope everyone had a great Easter!!!

As you know I travelled to New York last week, it was one of the best holidays I've been on! I shopped and walked and shopped and walked a little more. Or a lot!
It also (as cliche and soppy as this sounds) has made me find out a lot about myself. I was nervous to be in such a busy place but it wasn't bad at all, in fact,  I loved the vibe and loved the atmosphere.
It has made me want to push myself more, too travel more and just be happier!!
Without any more rambling, I thought I would share my week in NYC!

Day One was pretty boring, we traveled for a long part of the day, unpacked, had dinner at Hard Rock and walked through Times Square. We stayed at the Times New York Hotel so it was very central to Times Square. By 8 the jet lagged hit and we said goodnight to the day!!

Day Two was more exciting, we had a nice stroll through NY, had breakfast and walked to Central Park. It was a super chilly day but we walked through and enjoyed the beauty of they Park.

The day however was all about Soho. We walked along the High line, which gave amazing views, and like I said in my haul it took us a long time to get there!
I really enjoyed Soho, the shops where amazing and I loved all the little apartments.
After a long day of shopping we headed back to Times Square, this time in a taxi, had dinner and then went back to the hotel.

Day Three was a shopping day, this time it was 5th Ave. After going to Carnegies Deli, recommended by my uncle, we hit the shops. As much as I wished we could of, we never ventured into any off the high end store. We stuck to affordable stores and bought a lot!
For Lunch we went back to Carnegies and I bought an $11 cheese cake... YESS $11 for a piece of gluten free cheese cake! However, it was large slice and tasted amazing, so I guess it was worth it!!

Day Four we had our New York passes (which I 100% recommend) so it was a tourist kind of day!
First stop was the Empire State, finding out that it only took them 9 months to build it blow my mind!!
It was super windy up there but the view was incredible!!

Next Stop was to have my Gossip Girl moment at Grand Central Station! Having seen many things being filmed in there, it was very exciting!! The place is massive, clean and beautiful!

Then we headed to Top Of The Rock, to me it was just the same as the Empire State, maybe a different view point of the city. It was still amazing to look out at all the buildings and just life below.

Then lastly we went to MoMa aka the Modern Museum of Art. There was really interesting Art inside, the first one being as you walk in humans in weird positions lying on the floor but the most exciting thing was Van Goghs 'The Starry Night Painting'. I wrote an essay about this at school and it the inspirational the  Lush bath bomb, Shoot For The Stars.

Day Five  again we had our pass so it was busy busy busy. We headed to Madison Square Gardens first as we found out it closed early and was not going to be open the rest of the trip.
This was one of the attractions I was most excited about, having been a One Direction fan, I remember when they announce that they were performing there. I never thought I would ever be there so to be standing outside and inside was *soppy quote on its way* like a dream come true. The tour was great and it was amazing to see inside the arena.

We then used the Hop On, Hop Off bus to travel too see the 9/11 Memorial Centre. The whole experience was so sad, if you don't know they have created a waterfall area where one of the Towers had been. The water was to represent the tears fallen for the victims who died during the attacks!! It was remarkable to be inside and be standing where it all happen, seeing all the foundations made it seem so real. The most interesting thing for me was a set of original stairs that so many used to survive!

After the Memorial we headed towards Statue of Liberty, the Hop On, Hop Off was super handy to get us from A to B! We got the last boat of the day and off we went!!
We never made it inside but it was great seeing it up close and realising how big it actually was!!
Big shout out to the bird for photo bombing my pic!

That night we had excitedly bought Matilda The Musical Tickets, the show and performers were very talented! Matilda is my favourite childhood film so as you can imagine I loved it!!

Day Six was the last day of the New York pass, we chose to go to Madame Tussauds! I will say that I was a little disappointed with it, having visited the one in London I kind of expected more. I thought it would be bigger and have more wax works! It was good but it just never stood out to me!

This was our second day using the bus so we took advantage of it and went back to Soho. We did more shopping and more sight seeing, had lunch in the cutest cafe/restaurant ever and then walked through China Town! I felt quite anxious through this area, we had a look in some shops and then made our way to the  Brooklyn Bridge! This was one of my major highlights, we made it just before the sun had set so we had the most beautiful view! I wished I could have stayed there all day and soak it all in!!              But unfortunately we had the last bus to catch, I wasn't walking through China Town again so I had to take a quick sprint!

Day Seven was pretty chilled, after so many jam-packed days it was nice not to have an agenda. We had breakfast at Jamba Juice, lunch at Le Pain Quotidien and then at night I met up with Keira( blog here) to have dinner. The best part was 8:30 Froyo trip! :)

Day Eight was just finishing up and enjoying the last full day! We walked to LeVain Bakery and shopped aa bit more! At this point my ankle gave up, the amount of walking and the spirit to the bus was just to much! So this was the first time we got taxis anywhere!
The rest of the day was chilled, dinner, froyo, pack, and bed!

The Last day we dropped our cases at the airport and headed to The Mills at Jersey Gardens. It is basically a outlet with lots of discounted shops. At this point my ankle was sore, I had taken my anti-sickness tablet so I was tired and I had both of my hand luggage full of stuff, so I never really enjoyed it as much as I wanted to! I ended only getting three pairs of Calvin Klein underwear, so I guess it wasn't a full disappointment! I would advise if you were to go, leave space in your bag, keep money and have a whole day inside!

We got the flight home and that was that!! I would 100% travel to New York again, I have fallen in love with the city!
My biggest advice is to get the New York Pass, we didn't have to worry about having to pay for anything and the bus was so handy!! Although we didn't use it, the pass gave you money off certain restaurants and even 10% of M&M World! It was well worth it!
Also, take a good pair of trainers, where we were staying was so central that we were able to walk almost everywhere.

Hope you enjoyed my week in New York, Thank you to Steph and Amy for making the holiday the best. Also photo credit to them for a few pictures I used :)

Let me know if you have visited New York and what were the best bits?
Next post will be an overall haul of the trip!

So if you don't already know I am currently on Vacation in New York! We haven't done the tourist sight as of yet but we have 'shopped till we dropped'.
One place that we were rather successful in was Soho. We had heard really good things about this area so we thought we would have a look! After walking almost 2 hours from Times Square to Soho and then having lunch we were ready!

lol at me in the sunglasses!!! ;)
The first stop was Kate Spade, I am a big fan of Kate Spade after purchasing a purse and bag back in Florida last year. I wasn't particularly looking for anything but when I saw this notepad I had to get it!! I've mentioned before that I love Gabrielle Aplin, one of my favourite songs is 'Sweet Nothing'. So it made perfect sense to get this handbag size notepad. I also love the pastel pink colour.

The next shop was Aldo! I hadn't heard of this shop before so it wasn't sure what to expect.
They had some super cute items but I went for these pair of sunglasses!
I have quite a big head so finding a pair to fit and suit me is a challenge!
I love the shape and love the colour!

Next stop was Brandy Melville! I love this shop, it has some really quirky tee and great summer clothes! It was however so busy that I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of trying things on!
But I did see two items, first is the New York hat in the first pic!
I am away to Malta in May and it will be hot. I am not really a hat person but I thought this would be cute to keep the sun off my head!!
Next thing in BM was the NY keyring! This has no other reason than I thought it was cute!! ;)

We then popped into Urban Outfitters and I picked a Sigma Tapered Kabuki brush! I was so tempted to buy the whole set of Sigma brushes, but  I restrained! The brush is so soft so  I thought this would be perfect for the next item from Sephora.

Anastasia Contour Cream Kit! I have been looking at this for a while but I haven't wanted to spend a fortune for it!! But I used the excuse 'I am on holiday' and purchased it!
I haven't used it yet but I am super excited to try it!!

It was such a long day but it was so successful and worth it! It was nice to see areas that we hadn't before, and it was a great workout. Hitting 13.14 miles on my Fitbit!
Today we hit 5th Ave so let me know if you would like to see a haul?
The next three days are sight seeing day which will be amazing!!
Hope you are all well!
